Cleaner topic list - can older posts disapear?
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
Is it possible to set (or modify) forum this way, that every topic would be represented by only one (newest) post on the topic list (forum main page), so not all posts would be shown on main page all the time? It's important when I have few , but long topics. If one of them is active, all other are lost somewhere down page, or even on next pages of the forum, and you can almost mistake if you are in thread or in main page. :) I imagine that every new post would "bump" the topic up the page, so new post would appear at the top, but older one instantly dissapear from the list...
Best,
Emil
EDIT: I mean Post list block of course - to work similar to topic list, as described above...

Thanks for response.
I actually own the license and have this installed - just want to customise it a bit and wanted to know if there is maybe some ready solution for that.
Your advice about stopping the arrey sounds good. I'll give it a try.
Cheers,
E.

Sounds like you should be able to do this as an override or custom template for the Discussion Categories or Discussion Topics blocks, depending on exactly how you'd want it to work.
For instance the Discussion Topics block just gets an array of topics beneath the page you specify and loops through it with a foreach statement-- you could certainly impose a limit on that using count() or change how they're displayed.
I'd recommend logging into the live demo and playing around with it. Put some forum pages in edit mode to get feel for how the blocks work as shipped.
