Moving subpages in Discussion Forum

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi!

One of my users posted a response ('Reflections') in the wrong category of my discussion forum, so I moved it to the correct category in the sitemap and this seemed to work (it changed the path) and relocated the page under the correct category in the sitemap. It was a short-lived victory however.

When I returned to the discussion list, I found Reflections was indeed listed in the correct category (but not counted), and was still listed in its former category

http://pjbraley.com/forums/

under both Prose (where it is supposed to be) and Your Words & Links ('Reflections' original location).

Reflections is not listed under Your Words & Links' subpage so anyone going there will not find it. Also, the number 1 still shows under Your Words & Links, but zeros are showing in the Prose category when it is actually listed on the Prose sub page. I have been trying to find the key to this lock for hours. I even cleared the cache just in case, but that didn't change the listing.

I am hesitate to start fiddling with the code (I don't want the post to disappear altogether), but I can try that if you think that is where the problem lies.

As ever, thank you for your help,

Beachgirl

Hello,
It could be that you need to clear the cache on your site to clear that out. If it does not, it might be a bug in that the topic is still showing up as a post in that category even though it is no longer actually beneath that page. Try clearing your site's cache if you haven't and let us know how that goes.

Dear Gregjoyce -

Thank you for getting back to me.

As noted in my earlier post, I cleared the cache, but just did it again to be sure and the ghost post is still there.

The really odd thing is that when clicked upon, the link under Your Words and Links takes you to the post under Prose.

Any ideas to bust this ghost?

Thank you,

Beachgirl

Dear Gregjoyce -

Guess what?

All I had to do to make it disappear was add a new post under that particular forum. The ghost post totally disappeared.

Everything is good - and you guys are wonderful.

Thank you!
