I would also very much like to see a way to sort the list - preferably by the admin on the back end and the user on the front end.

Implemented some sort options for admin:
- by filename;
- by date;
- by filesize;
- by number of downloads.

The "default" option in concrete 5.4.1 uses the same order of files as that defined on the file set page in admin backend.

Also it is possible to sort files by attribute.
