Capture custom data on product

Permalink Browser Info Environment

I'm wondering if this add on allows for a product to be purchased and also custom data for the item to captured. It could be input a name for instance. If more than one instance of the product was purchased then the data input would therefore need to allow for different data per product.

Good question. It's been a few years since I created this addon so I'll have to dig through the code to check that. But I'm quote sure additional data can be saved the way you're describing... It just needs an adjustment to the user interface. At the moment it only saves drop down lists but they could be converted to a text field. Do you need both drop downs and text fields or just text only?

Ideally probably both text input and drop down lists. I know there are great add ons in 5.8 for this, but the system I'm on is 5.6 and the other bespoke features we have require too much of a reinvestment at the moment to make the jump to 5.8.

I'm investigating the viability of the 5.6 options for client.

I'd estimate a rough quote of US$270 (3 hrs x US$90/hr) to add support for text boxes.

If you'd like to go ahead, payment is required upfront via Paypal. And I can deliver this project within 1 week of payment.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks for the very helpful info. It gives me enough info to present to various options on ways forward.
