Where does the user enter their address?

Have just purchased this addon which looks great, but there's no obvious place for the user to enter their postal address!! Am I missing something?

Thanks for purchasing this add-on. This is designed so the customer only enters their address in the payment gateway (eg. Paypal, Moneybookers, Google Checkout). This is then sent to you via email once they complete the order.

eCommerce Express is designed to be a simpler lower-cost alternative to the "full" eCommerce package by the core Concrete5 team. This means the order isn't stored in the C5 database, rather the info is just passed onto the payment gateway. So the merchant receives the details on the products that have been ordered as well as the customer's address via email.

Hope this helps.

Ah I thought that might be the case. I actually prefer your approach to
ecommerce, which is usually only a small part of a client's website
(I'd only consider the core addon for bigger sites).

I'll need to make it clear on the ordering page that users enter their
address at the payment gateway!

Laurence

Just in case you're interested, I've just uploaded v1.1 to the marketplace which now supports an "email only" payment gateway and captures customer details on the checkout page. If you're interested, you can find more detail at:http://www.concrete5.org/index.php?cID=282912...

Hi JB:

I would like to purchase this add-on. However I am afraid I'll break a currently smooth-working website, (site is on C5).
Do I first install the add-on on my XAMPPLite and then move it to the cloud or what is recommended?

Are there any step-by-step instructions on how to get this up and running?

Thank you in advance!

Hi LL, yes there is a demonstration video (screencast) on the marketplace listing:
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/ecommerce-express/...
(just click the "play" icon). Or here's a direct link to the video on YouTube:

This add-on (along with all my other addons) are designed with C5's best practices in mind and play nicely with other C5 addons. So the chances of anything "breaking" is highly unlikely. But I'm always available to answer questions from customers very quickly. So you can have absolute peace of mind.

If you want to install it on a "development" site and then transfer it later t a live site, that's fine. Here's an article on the C5 site that explains how to transfer your licence:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/release-an-a...

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I also bought this Add-on and I realized that the order details are not stored anywhere and details are sent via email. however I noticed that the form that the customer needs to fill in doesn't have any mandatory fields so i they choose not to fill in the form I will not have a shipping address to ship to. how do I make at least 2 of the fields mandatory?
