Add-ons

This add-on extends the eCommerce with Snipcart add-on to support products that automatically create new user accounts.

This provides the ability to sell access to protected content on a Concrete CMS website or digital downloads (or both!).

When a customer purchases one or more products marked as membership products, a new user account is automatically created for the customer, with the new user placed in one or more user groups.

On purchase, the customer is automatically logged in and redirected to their protected content. They're also sent their new login details via email for reference.

As the add-on simply utilises Concrete's user and user groups functionality, you can take full advantage of Concrete's permissions to control access to a very fine level of details. You could build a single downloads page, or highly complex tree of protected content and resources, with varying levels of access. 

User groups can also automatically remove users from the group after a specified period of time, meaning you can set up time limited access.

If you aren't familiar with Concrete's advanced permissions, put briefly these are fine grained access controls you can apply to pages, files and even individual blocks of content. Access is to such content is controlled by user logins, with users being able to be placed in user groups.

Advanced permissions can also be used to hide content from a particular group, so for example you could hide Snipcart product blocks for the products already purchased by the customer.

(you can still use this add-on in 'simple' permissions mode, advanced permissions simply give you more flexibility)
