Add field Lang in database

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,

It will be nice to add a field "Lang" in database to define with which language user is register. Good for knowing if we need to send newsletter in what language.

I have implement this in a website :

- Field Lang added in ADD/EDIT form to define language (eg. "en").

- This field value is implemented in block view as hidden field "lang"

- Field added in db.xml with "C" type and size "2".

- Field added in dashboard report and excel export.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion -- I see how this is useful for some people, but I don't think it would be useful for others (because I think that most sites operate only in 1 language). I only intended this block to provide very basic functionality, so if you want to have other fields besides just "email address", you will need to customize the code (as you have done with the language field).

I am curious -- how do you know what language the user is registered for if they are not logged in or not actually registered yet?

Thanks again for the feedback.

Just create one folder by Lang under home root folder then detect in what folder user is. In each Lang i add tour block with new field Lang si one block by Lang . If nô Lang detect with current folder, http_accept_language.
