For anyone with the same problem (and getting no help!!!) I figured something out:
I put the Facebook Like Button Block into Stacks. Then I opened the Design function of the block. Once in the Design function of the block I selected CSS from the menu. Under CSS ID I inserted fb:app_id
This solved the problem with Facebook, but there is a side effect. For some reason it disables the design functions of the block. But that wasn't a big issue for me, so....
With the Facebook Like Button Block in Stacks you can add it to whatever page you want to have this functionality with Facebook.
