How to show image urls in address bar?

First of all thanks for making a nice plugin, bringing easy Galleria goodness to C5.
I'd like to know how to have the image urls shown in address bar? I'd like this for being able to see in Google Analytics which images are most often viewed.
PS: While I'm at it, how do I get the thumbnails to display on the left or right side, instead of below the image? Any way to make them display on top?
I know both of the above are possible by hacking away, but since I'm rather new to C5, I'd like to know if there would be a preferred path for me to achieve the above, preferably without breaking it all when upgrading C5 or the plugin, at some point in the future.
