feel free to write your own add-on, submit it to the marketplace, have it be bug free, support it as people use it, and update it as changes to the core happen...

If you wanna do that for free, i'll happily approve it.

frz,

any chance of adding a text overlay option to the slider - add that and i'll buy it instantly for my clients website which needs an image slider with text overlay desperately - its that or i'll have to look at moving them over to a WP cms - which has many blog posts on how to add them using posts !

Love concrete5 and really want to start promoting its usage on two client sites I am about to begin.

Regards,

mmuller

That sounds quite doable, but like it could/should probably be a different add-on. We're pretty swamped at the moment, why not ask in the forums and perhaps someone from the development community will jump at the opportunity to build a needed add-on.

best

I am currently trying to convince a client to get this add on. They want to be able to show presentations to the their users and instead of only providing a link to a download file, they could have the slides right there on the page.

you could do that i guess. I think there are a number of 3rd party solutions that let you upload a PPT online and then page through it in a web browser as well.. nice additional features like full screen, etc.

I'd like to be able to have a random image from a set/tag appear on a page, but not change while the user stays on the page. If they refresh or return to the page, they might see a different image.

If I specify no arrows, no auto play, and set the time to a high number, will this add on do that?

@waterfeller-
you may also want to take a look at this code snippet: http://ma.tt/scripts/randomimage/
drop this and a bunch of images in a directory (via ftp) then call the script using a html block. I've used this on numerous sites to great effect.

franz-
any chance you might be adding text overlay? or that someone else has done this? I'm using Nivo slider but am having some problems with it on my site. I suspect this would be a better block for us, but really need the text overlay. thanks!
