I believe the login block should work fine with it, though I'm aware that it redirects to https regardless of whether or not the page it's applied to is having form data posted to it-- for example, posting data from one page into a form on another that has Force SSL enabled. The redirect will cause loss of the post data. So that's something to be aware of.
I should mention that the Force SSL add-on is developed by a third-party developer, so he would likely be the best source for support, tips, etc:
