Unsubscribe and resubscribe

When members sign up to my website they by default agree to receive one newsletter and they can unsubscribe from future newsletters by using the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
I agree that this is not usual but almost all of my members want the newsletter and the vast majority were having problems in signing up to it (I have a very old demographic, many members are in their 70s, 80s and 90s, I have to keep things very simple).
This is working well. I send the newsletter to all registered users and if they want to unsubscribe they use the "unsubscribe from all future emails" checkbox.
My query is - what if they want to resubscribe? I can't work out how to do that.
Sorry if this is already answered, I can't find it (or don't understand it).
