I have added this to a few pages on my site, and it works really well. How does google view it. I have used a single KML file per page as that is the only option.
Will google see the KML association for that page and will the page be enhanced for local seo with it their?

This is just going to look to google like you have a map on your page. I think what you are looking for its a 'geositemap'. Here is google's page about that:

I don't really know anything about it but it sounds fairly simple.
