API Key Cannot Be Retrieved

Google appears to have changed their way of getting API keys. I have tried the link on your Support page but it says that API keys are not longer required. I cannot get this Add-on to work using any combination of keys from Google.

Any help please.

A Key is not mandatory at the moment but to Google has a way of changing its mind, also with a key, should you exceed permitted impressions the maps will just stop working - no notification, with a key you get told. So to avoid situations of support where maps stopped working or that where the add-on no longer worked because Google decides keys are mandatory - we put the requirement for a key in there from the start.

That link should still be good, I know Google are changing the UI of their stuff but you should be able to register an Google Maps V3 app and get a key from there.
