I am trying to update a clients website using the Simple Image Gallery they have and I am getting an error everything I try to upload a new image file or even trying to change out an existing image. I do run the images through Photoshop and save jpeg images at 72ppi so they are all small for the website. The error message is:

Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/home/content/91/9177991/html/files/cache/52189f4990ff9203aa565865230f1ee6.jpg' for writing: File too large in /home/content/91/9177991/html/updates/concrete5.4.2.1/concrete/helpers/image.php on line 172

If the file is too large, it's an issue with your server. It has nothing to do with the Simple Image Gallery -- instead, you'll want to ask your web hosting company what the filesize limit is for PHP to open files (tell them you're using the GD plugin to modify an image file). Perhaps there is a setting on the server where this limit can be raised?

Out of curiosity, what is the size of the file (in KB or MB, not the pixels or ppi) you're trying to upload?

All of the files I load to the web are ran through PhotoShop's Save For Web at 72 PPI The size of largest files are under 75 KB and most are around 25 KB. There are only 14 images in the gallery right now. When I try to add a new one or even re-size the thumbnails from 150 px X 150 px to 200 px X 200 px I get the same error so really the size of the images are not the real reason I am getting the error message.

The server is Go Daddy

Thank you so much for any help.

Okay, so the image size shouldn't be a problem. But like I said, this isn't an issue with the addon or Concrete5 code -- it's something you're going to need to contact your web host about (probably related to some kind of php memory setting, but I don't know for sure -- it's different on every server).
