resetting to zero
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
I'd like to reset my stats to zero. Start anew... How can I do that? I thought about un-installing and installing again... is there another more simple way to do what I'd like to do?
Thanks
Pat

in the years that I've been selling this package I've never actually had someone ask to do this. uninstalling the package won't actually do the trick, because those tables and their data is preserved. It was designed this way on purpose so that uninstalling and reinstalling could be done without loosing the user's traffic history. to get a completely fresh start you should uninstall, then delete the 5 database tables that start with TonyStats, then reinstall.
Hi Tony,
The reason I asked about this is because, I have recently made a lot of change and also implemented an ecommerce to the site. Since this is basically a brand new site, I'd like to start collecting data from scratch.
However I do not wish to start fiddling in the DB... I fear trouble ahead if I do so... So, I'll just take a pen and take note of the number of visits and so on as of today and I'll subtract...
However, this may be a nice feature to implement in future version of the stats add-on. A simple way to set the counter to zero. I would appreciate that... But If I'm the only person who's asked about that... It may not be worth the trouble :)
Thanks
Pat
