Can we test on the staging site first ?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,

We're interested in your Add-on and we're planning to purchase it. I see that we have to assign the Live site URL when purchasing this add-on. Is there a way to test it on our staging site first (it is also located in our live site in a different sub-domain) and then assign it to the live site?

Thanks!

Hi there,

You can assign the license to any project at first. If this first project is your staging, please "connect to the community" for both projects (so don't have the same connected). After connection, assign the license to your staging. You then have 7 days if I'm not mistaken, to assign this license to another project. So disconnect the license from this project and assign to a different project. So your live site is connected to the community too (different project/project name and URL). Assign any unassigned licenses to it however you please.

Does that answer your questions?

Kind regards,

Ramon

Hi Ramon,

We have tested your Add-on on our staging site. Now it seems that we're missing many images and links on our staging site.

Is there a way we can directly contact you, so that we can provide staging site information along with the issue details and URLs. We can also provide login information.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!

Hi there,

If it's something related to the Add-On, it's best to keep general discussions here. You say you're missing many images, can you give examples? Did they exist before? Do you have more to go onto? If you have specific examples to go with, makes it easier for you to identify the "problem". It doesn't do much at this point for me to go digging into multiple environments.

Let me know what information you can provide here (no login credentials)! You can find my website on my profile and get the email address from there.

Kind regards,

Ramon

Hi Ramon,

Yes, the issue happened after we run website optimizer. Since we don't want to post our URLs publicly, I will contact you through email and send you detailed information with links.

Basically the staging site is a copy of the live site and the images were there when we created the live site.

Thanks!
