Marketplace Submission
So you've made some theme or add-on and you'd like to have it in the marketplace? Well we'd love to include it. Just a few rules to get out of the way first...
What are the Rules?
- You must have complete rights to the code you're submitting. If you're using 3rd party libraries, someone else's design, or anything else that might have any legal holdings, you need to let us know in the comments section during submission. We assume that you have properly attributed all works, if you haven't you're gonna get in trouble.
- You can choose if you want to sell the submission or not. We may suggest to change your price, but generally it's up to you. We take 25% of every transaction, and the lowest price we sell anything for is $15, so be sure to work that into your pricing.
- Your add-on must work without further extension. If your add-on requires something else be installed, or wraps some other application, you need to find a way to include everything required in the package. If there's a API key type field that someone has to populate (like our Advanced Google Maps add-on) that's understandable and acceptable. If it's "go get the latest version of XYZ and install it so this add-on will work" - that's not.
- If you choose to sell rather than give away your submission, you have to follow a few more rules:
- You have to provide support to your customers for at least 30 days. If they can't install it, it doesn't work, or for some other reason regret their purchase, we will grant them a refund and you're not getting paid.
- You have to leave enough credit in your concrete5 account at any time to cover that period of approval.
- If you're going to be unable to provide support for some reason, you need to let us know so we can make other arrangements.
That's it, if that seems good to you, go ahead and send us what you've put together and a group of your peers will review it. Generally the Peer Review Board (PRB) is looking for clean, well performing code that won't negatively impact other add-ons. We also like to see UI that follows the general standards of other add-ons. While you may get some feedback on making your add-on more useful, it's up to you to find a real niche that needs to be filled and price your add-on accordingly. The PRB is really here to make sure our marketplace doesn't fill up with half working submissions that break your site when installed.
