Google Analytics not working
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Guys,
An unusual problem! For the first time inserting Google analytics code into the Tracking code section of a C5 site has resulted in it not working.
I have created he code in Google. inserted it into my site:http://www.hodginssmithconsulting.com... and I can see the code in the footer.
However going into Google Analytics I can see the message:
=======
Tracking ID
UA-26253709-1
Status: Tracking Not Installed
Last checked: Feb 23, 2015 4:34:06 AM PST
The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.
========
Have you any ideas please?
Ian

Hi
Yes I copied and pasted the code first time and then did it again today.
I then moved the location to head then footer but it didn't trigger G/A recognising it.
Sorry!
Ian

I see.
Do you have a test site where you can paste the code to check if it detects.
I think it would take a day to see the result of the analytics
Thanks,
RJ

Let me try that...
Good day.
We haven't encountered such issue before.
Did you just copy and paste the generated code from google analytics?
Can you try putting the analytics at the header instead of the footer.
Just to check if it will work.
Thanks,
RJ
