Blog post text formatting
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
I was making a test blog post, part of which was copied and pasted Scripture with a format like:
Matthew 4:1 text text text, more text
Matthew 4:2 text text some colored text, more text
I pasted by right-clicking and pasting from IE 11 into the form.
After saving, the Matthew 4:1 and other chapter and verse indicators are stripped off, and the text coloration lost on the colored text. I suspect the reason the chapter and verse
indicators are getting pruned off is because they are colored text in the document I am pasting from.
A look at the HTML code shows an 'ie-paste-redactor' tag on the span/block
Is there a way to do a paste into the blog text field and avoid the loss of formatting/colors?
I would like to avoid doing the blog entries in an HTML editor first, and then pasting in the code, if at all possible. It is a lot of what I use Concrete5 to avoid. :-)
Thank you!

Thanks very much for the quick reply, James.
In the meantime, I used NVu to quickly mark up the post and with just a couple of tweak edits
was able to create some cut and paste HTML.
It was actually fun to look at some code after a few years, and the reason behind my new site makes the work a pleasure. So I think I will be all set!

I totally understand what you are going through. I have also been having issues with how redactor strips out elements upon pasting code. The only thing we could do is hope that Concrete5 updates the redactor on their future versions.
I'll try to look around the forums and let you know if I find anything that could help you with pasting code. Im sorry I couldnt be of much help.
Regards,
James
