This will probably end up being more than just for the home page.
I have a fresh install that I haven't even assigned a domain name to yet.
I'm using the out-of-the-box version, and I'm trying to edit the home page content and structure. I'd like to have 3 columns of features instead of 4. I can't figure out how to change the existing one to three columns (doesn't seem to be editable), and I can't figure out how to add a new layout with three columns. When I try to add to the "Main" area, it seems to work, but then nothing happens and I can't put anything in the new row if a row was actually created.
I figure any answer here will help me with a number of things in the long run. I hope this isn't a concrete5 101 question. I'm new to the platform, so it well could be.
Thanks.

Replied via e-mail, not sure if it went through.
The one I'm wanting to change is the 4 column list of features, not the PageList. The 4x2 icon/title/description combos. I'd like to go from 4 columns of two to 3 columns of one.

Ah I see. Those can be created via area layouts. You first need to create a layout by clicking an area and choosing "Add layout". Choose 3 columns and hit save. Populate those new columns with feature blocks.

Ah, yeah, I tried that and can't get it to work. If that's the thing, I'll just try to figure it out. Thanks anyway.
If incase you cant figure it out, let me know. You can grant me temporary access to your site and I'll do it for you. :)

First of all, thank you for choosing my theme. :)
Don't worry about asking questions. We've all gone through the same thing. I don't mind helping anyone especially someone who just got started using concrete5.
Regarding the features block, are you talking about the pagelist block? If so, the way to make it 3 columns instead of 4 is to put it on edit mode and click it. On the options, choose "Designs and custom templates". Under custom templates, look for 3 column pagelist.
I hope this made sense. Please let me know if you need more help.
Kind regards,
James
