auto nav dropdown sometimes invisible, off screen

Permalink Browser Info Environment
If a menu item near the left hand side has a dropdown with a wide li element and because of the left-justification, the short ones will dissappear off the screen.

Similarly, but on the right side:
If a dropdown li element has a sub-menu, it will try to expand on the right side but off the screen (cut off).

This has been solved in the 5.7 version of Hi-Vis by floating submenus to the left. We have also moved the breakpoint so the menu collapses earlier.

I will make these changes to the 5.6 version of Hi-Vis and make an update available.

Generally you should avoid very long navigation titles when possible. Although 3 levels of nav are possible I'd question how user friendly they are. You may be better supplying extra navigation in a sidebar on your second level pages.

More generally, due to the responsive design, the autonav menu should dynamically select different ul classes based on media screen size.

This issue is a problem for our website initiative.
