CTA External link

Thanks for the Rigid light theme. I have added a couple of external links to the sitemap and when I select one of them in the CTA dialog it appears to save it, but when the page is displayed the link goes to the home page of the site, not the external link.
If I select a subpage from the site it works fine. Any suggestions?

Did you ever find an answer to this?
I ended up not using external links in the menu structure.
I hard coded the link into the backend code. Thankfully we have three CTA items, all going to the same place and don't need it anywhere but one page. :P
