As your id for the date picker should be unique, just remove the class name before.

try:

with double quotes

as mentioned in the docs, seems you have to add
class="validate(required)"
for the fields you want to validate.

re: Add-ons message of the day and media library
message of the days are within content block in a seperate scrapbook. As you can add images to content block, it could work with images too, haven't tested that so far.
