Let's go to SXSW
Update
We're totally going. We've raised over $5k from the community and with some clever budgeting and cut backs on the amount of swag we intend to throw around for free - this is totally doable. We get on a plane Friday morning and we couldn't be more excited. We'll post pictures somewhere easy to follow and tweet about the whole deal and whatnot, but today we just want to say.. THANKS!
If you still want to get on the donors list here that we'll print out at the event as well, you still can and your donations will still be much appreciated. We'll shut this down 3PM PST on Wednesday so we can do the final cleanup on the graph and print stuff.
Thanks again, 'excitement' fails as an adjective - we're overwhelmed with the potential.

What a year!
2009 was all about getting the core code base and concrete5.org community solid. We've done that, and 2010 is going to be about growth. Concrete5 being more popular serves all of us well, so donate what you can to help us go to SXSW and build a larger audience.
We want to go to SXSW, one of the leading interactive media conferences here in the US. Unfortunately even attending on a guerrilla budget is going to be a considerable outlay of funds. After the financial joy of 2009 and the amount of money and time we've already shoveled into concrete5, we're just not in a position to foot the whole bill this time.
So let's split the check. The more concrete5 grows the more work there is for partners, freelancers, and designers. We're happy to go do the legwork and get people excited, but we could really use a little help from the community on this one. We're accepting donations to get us to SXSW. Buy one of the linked boxes in our fund raising gauge and you get some cool swag.
Thanks gang, let's make 2010 the year that concrete5 takes the lead.
