We are happy to announce that the first update to concrete5 8.3, version 8.3.1, is now available. This is a maintenance release but it's add some nice new features and fixes some bugs in 8.3.0. Any site running 8.3.0 is encouraged to update, and those that are behind should now take another look at 8.3.0.

The biggest new feature to 8.3.1 is the upgrade path: it's now possible to update from any version as far back as 5.7.5.13 to 8.3.1 directly. This update also comes with some improvements to the process for multilingual sites, so anyone with a multilingual site running 5.7.x that has wanted to upgrade, we're hoping you'll take another look at 8.3.1.

View all the new features in 8.3.1 here.

8.3.0 is a huge release, adding previous commercial add-ons like the Document Library and the concrete5 calendar to the core for free! Learn more about 8.3.0 here.

We recently released the first release candidate of 8.3.0, featuring an integrated calendar, document library and much, much more. We're really excited about it. Now, the second release candidate is available. It fixes a number of upgrade issues, and adds support for those who have the current concrete5 marketplace calendar add-on installed.

Today concrete5 documentation is focused around technical developer docs, and more interface focused editors guide. There’s also a searchable collection of Tutorials, which are typically short and very task specific. We want to create a new Implementation Guide.

concrete5 8.2.1 is now available! It is strongly recommended for anyone running version 8.0 and above, and fixes a number of issues with 8.2. It also adds searching to express objects and more!

What's so great about new concrete5 anyway?

After a lengthy development period and a long release candidate period, concrete5 8.2.0 is now available! This is a huge update, with over 175 new features, bug fixes, improvements and updates. It's definitely our largest release for version 8, and one of the biggest releases we've ever done.

We are looking for accomplished interactive media designers. This may be either an individual freelancer or an agency that provides services. We generally do not sell design or strategy services, but we do need internal design support. We have an immediate need of redesigning PortlandLabs.com, and we’d like to develop more on-going relationships with design resources we can recommend to our clients.

We are pleased to announce that release candidate 2 for concrete5 8.2.0 is now available! (Release candidate 1 was actively worked on in GitHub but was never publicly posted to concrete5.org). You can download 8.2.0 RC2 from our downloads page on concrete5.org. We are really excited about 8.2.0 – please download it, backup your 5.7 sites and update them, or install 8.2 fresh. A full list of what's changed in this version is available here.
