Influenced by rural brands like Hunter, Barbour and John Deere we were keen to portray the history behind D&R. It was important that the site looked classy and clean, but remained bright and airy. The design isn’t embellished with gratuitous gradients or surplus shine and it’s all the better for it. We wanted D&R to appear self-assured, classy and reserved, so all elements are deliberately plain and functional, like how Landrovers used to be before the the new money bling. Not so long ago Rolls Royce quoted its engines power output as “adequate” — that’s the kind of feel we wanted for D&R and we reckon we nailed it.
