My interest taking photograph's began in 1977 during my 4 years of service in the U.S. Navy.  During that time I photographed my ship, the USS Robert E. Peary, FF 1073, coming to the rescue of 455 Vietnamese boat people being assaulted in the South China Sea from a Thai Pirate attack. Bottom line, My ship saved the lives of 455 refugee boat people trying to get to the United States, because they heard they could be free here. To this day I can still see some of their faces.  When I take a photograph, I strive to record a moment, place, or event, in such a way that to the viewer, it tells a story without the need for words. My photographs reflect to the next person that can see them, a way to either see or compare today, to the way it was from a sometimes distant past.
