Are multible sites with one authorization DB possible

Permalink
For a private project I'll try to have multible sites (eg Blog, Portal, area Portal) on one server (several c5 installations).

Is it possible to use one DB for authorization and permission of the users from all sites.

I want not use LDAP, this is oversized.

Thanks in advance

If by "sites" you just mean separate domains, then I think there are a couple add-ons in the marketplace that might do what you want...

Dear Stefe,

thanks for this suggestion.

I saw this Add-On in the marketplace but I think it's not what I want.

If I unterstand the ADD-on right I have a tree of websites like

/
/about us
/contact
/something
/blog

Now i can give every path, if I want, a domain.

/ -> mysite.de
/about us
/ contact -> contact.mysite.de
/something
/blog -> blog.mydomain.de

In the domain mysite.de I see all subsites in the menu, isen't it?

If you found the same content in more than one domains (or sites) is a negative creteria for search engines. Google, for example, can rank both sites down if many content copied.

Thanks in advance
