Structure and Content

Dear Concrete5 Team,

I feel lost on the concrete5.org website. Am I alone with it or not? I do not find what I search, but my wishes are simple. Every time I'm searching documentations I got leaded to an forum entry or an empty forum slot.

1.) Where is the offical documentation/tutorial about the Concrete5 features (for User).
2.) Where is the offical documentation/tutorial about the Concrete5 features (for Developers).
3.) How to find the feature related forum entries (not the big mess off long conversation list to scroll down)?
4.) How I can filter to get only documentations related to a dedicated Concrete5 version? Everything else made no sense.

I have the feeling this page lives only from the forum entries of the user and not from well sorted information from the Concrete5 developer team.
And please don't close forum task, because of 14 days idle time!!!

Thanks for your Feedback.
Yes I've checked but sorry this is not like a documentation should Looks like.
And not all of the entries have Content like this I was search for:http://documentation.concrete5.org/editors/dashboard/stacks-and-blo...

I really would expect a well structured documentation, starting with Basic Information about how Concrete5 is structured to handle Content, what are the core Elements, where to find, how to use and so on.
And in the best way as a pdf file for download. Thats more usual to be able to search and find Content.

There is certainly lacking in documentation. This is why the core team appreciates a helping hand in making the documentation. You can actually login to the docs site and help adding content to the pages.

Remember this is Open Source (free for everybody and free to contribute your help).

How shall this work, create a documentations by making a guess or re-engineeringby reding source code? Sorry but the big promise of Concrete5 is to deal with content without having coding experience. Otherwise only the coding community themselfs can use it.
Even open source should not work by flying blind. It should have a well sorted base. How do they run programming and testing without? Or is the Concrete5 strategy "testing by the user". If so, than it is a usless CMS for productive pages, without any reliability. Even the Concrete5 coding community should care about basic Software Engineering rules.

How ever, me personally, I like the Concrete5 HMI idea and I like that it is for free. But I also would like to pay some coins to get a good basic tutorial (all in).Even if it is not well structured, but complete, I would offer to structure it. But I don't have a sufficent description to create a better tutorial. And until now I miss some basic understanding and don't know how to get it, without try out only. Because I often try out and then I often run in deadlock bugs and have to restore my entire webspace.

Hi, thanks for your top suggestions and it sounds promising. But on what earth are they living, if they provide only realtime classes in a global world with 27 time zones and I live in China.
Seems they realy do not understand the needs of CMS user, even they like to get a lot of money for the offered online Training. It's a realy pity that my expectations are are so fare away from the Concrete5 reallity. And I'm quit sure I am not the only one.

But thank you for your time. I realy appreciate your Support and hope that the time Comes where I get what I'm searching for. Because the other CMS's are worse. Of Course some are well documented but not suitable for modern Websites.

Enjoy your Weekend and do not hesitate to give me further suggestions.
Best wishes from China (09:00pm).
