How to build a Glossary

Permalink
Hi

I'm looking for a "glossary" block or add-on (if possible for free) but I couldn't find.

Glossary should include at least:
A-Z index, search function
here is an example pagehttps://www.cms.gov/apps/glossary/default.asp?Letter=ALL&Languag...

I've tried with a simple content block but if you have more than 200 it becomes a nightmare.

many thanks for your help

sonic

How about a page structure such as:
Glossary
--> A
----> Apple
----> Awesome
--> B
----> Banana
----> Bodacious

Then on the 'A' page you have a page list showing all the 'starts with a' articles. Same on the 'B' page. Might need a custom template.

For the index, use a page list with a custom template showing only the first level of pages.

For searching, you can search from a particular page on down, so set it to the 'Glossary' page.

There is a new block in the marketplace that does this:

should do the trick ;-)

I saw that in the PRB, but didn't know how long it would take to go
through. Good luck with it.
