login block

I am building a site for a writer's workshop. Member-writers get access to a private sector on the site where they can post and discuss their work-in-progress. Guests to the site can visit the public sector of the site to read the finished work of the member-writers.

I have created a Writers Login page (not a single page) that I want to allow the member-writers to access their work-in-progress and prevent anyone else from that sector of the site.

How do I do this? I do not code, so if building this requires me to code, I'm toast. I put the login block (https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/login_block) in my concrete5 shopping cart, licensed it to my domain, and... nothing. I can't call it up in the Add a Block list. Where is it? How do I put it to use? Can I put it to use without having to custom code?

Sorry to tell you but that Login Block you referenced is not for version 5.7.

Here's one that will do what you want for $15. (I am not affiliated with it in any way but it looks like the thing you're after)

Once you purchase it, it should show up in your 'Dashboard -> Extend concrete5 -> Add Functionality list

Thanks for your help. I bought the block and assigned it to my domain. Unfortunately, I can't find the Login Block in my "Dashboard -> Extend concrete5 -> Add Functionality" list or in my "Add Block" list. What additional steps must I take?

Do you have FTP access to your server? You can download the package's zip archive from your My Account->Tranactions->Licenses page, expand the archive onto your local computer and then upload the package to the 'packages' folder. See attachment for where the links are on the c5 website.
