Backup CC5 Database

Hi all,

I have gone to system/settings/Backup & Restore/ and I see "Existing Backups
You have no backups available." message. When I click "run backup " I get message
" This has not been implemented in 5.7" I do have site backed up on my hosting providers server . Is the message saying " not been implemented" mean its not an option in CC5 or it needs to be for a lack of better words set up properly to run it first ?

Any feedback would be great !
Thanks

This means that the feature does not exist in the version of C5 that you are using. If you want to backup you will need to manually backup the files and database through your host.

There's at least one add-on for backing up the database:

I've also written a package that does it, but I haven't plucked up the courage to submit it to the PRB yet. If you're desperate and adventurous, I'll send you my package.

Don't forget that a c5 site comprises database and files. Make sure you also back up the latter!
