Certifications for concrete5.7

I'm interested in Certification. http://www.concrete5.org/community/certification/...

Since concrete5.7 will change dramatically, I'm not sure the current certification will be valid after c5.7 release.

It's OK to retake the certificate after c5.7 release, but it will be nice, if the certificate holders of c5.6 can retake the test with no-extra charge, or at least discount charge.

Although this is not a bad idea, I think it will be necessary to have certifications for each major version (ex. 5.6, 5.7, 5.8... etc.).

I am just speculating here, but I am guessing that there will be 5.7 certifications, in addition to the existing 5.6 ones.

I would prefer to show my certifications for each major version, as it would show that I am knowledgeable in more than one version of C5.

Hello, growthcurve.

Your idea(certifications for each major version) seems to be better.

When some people want to update from c5.6 to c5.7,
they may seek an expert for both c5.6/c5.7.

Any news regarding 5.7 certifications ?

As the 5.7 bring deep changes does it worth making the 5.6 certification now or should I wait ?

Thanks for letting me know...

I think that certifications for 5.7 are not something that will be available soon.

The documentation needs to be completed first.

Thanks for your answer. Do you think that would help to make the 5.6 certifications to work then in 5.7 as the system has changed a lot ?

I started with 5.7 and don't have any experience with 5.6.

Based on what I have read and the code I've seen, there are many things that are the same, but also many things that are different.

Your time might be better spent working through all the existing 5.7 documentation and exploring the code.

Does it really require 1 credit for each training? Because that means it will cost $1185 to take the entire course (15 training sessions).

Good question, I am not sure how much all of the training would cost.

You could always message Frz to see if there is a block-booking discount for the entire schedule. I'd imagine the expectation is that people won't want to take ALL of the training sessions and people will take the level sessions appropriate to where they feel they need the assistance and their area of expertise/specialism if they have one.

I guess you have to view it as an investment.
