[RESOLVED] Completely locked out of project

Hi all, any ideas?

1. We needed to restrict client access so my colleague put the site we're working on into Maintenance mode — possibly while I was still logged in and changing my Admin password for the same purpose!

2. I cannot login in with either my old or my new admin password.

3. I am not receiving any password-reset emails at my email address, even though my email is designated as Admin.

4. Cannot find superuser logins; my colleague did the install and cannot be reached at the moment.

5. I have reviewed various forum posts/documentation. I used the "I can't log in" advice to access the LOGS table of the database, and grabbed the password-reset-email link. I successfully reset my password, but on trying to login, it simply returned me to the "site in maintenance mode" screen.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Charlie

If you are not receiving the password reset email, go to the login page and request a new password, then look at the logs table in the database with phpmyadmin you will see the content of the message, copy the link and paste it into your browser and you will be able to reset your password. Then you will need to look into why the system is not sending email.

You can also toggle Maintenance Mode in the DB but I don't remember what table it is in. there where some posts in the forum about doing it.

Thanks. As mentioned in my orig. item #5, I had already grabbed the password-reset email from the LOGS entry of the database.

Looks like my colleague has resolved this. If I have time I will post it here.
