form block extensions

I really like the form block, makes it easy to build a form in a minute but there are two things which are pretty essential:
1. captcha - as mentioned herehttp://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/bounties/55_-_captcha_on_...
If no one is working on that I'll probably implement this on my own
2. validations - there has been a discussion about mvc validations method.http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/validation...
This would be nice but what I've got in mind is "an easier" solution. A drop down menu in the form block that allows you to select a few field options like "must be a number" and a custom regex string..
I'm not sure if I got something wrong but from what I've read nobody ever mentioned that feature..?
Does that make sense? Anything else to add/correct?
