FTP Access Set up

Hello People of Concrete5,
I'm in need to create the following for an advertiser so they can access promo graphics from our site:

"Do you or someone you have access to have ftp access to your website?
Do you or someone you know, know how to upload files to your site?
Do you or someone in your office, administer your site?
If the answer is yes, then I assume you know the folder name where you keep images. You can make a new folder for the SA images or just use a name that makes it easy to find and update. I would use something like sa_index.jpg. So the url would be something likehttp://www.website.com/images/sa_index.jpg.... Any path structure and file name you choose is fine as long as it does not change. IF it does change you must let me know."

I have created a new folder for the required images but how do I share it? or make it accessible via a shared link? Do i just make a new page and enter the desired address slug?

Any advise would be great

Because you have created a random folder and put your image in it, it is outside of Concrete5's file structure so this is not a C5 related question really.

What you can do is upload your image to Concrete5's file manager in your dashboard. Once that's done, in the file manager, click on the image and in the drop-down menu that appears, click on "properties". There you will see 2 URLs, one called "URL to file" and the other "Tracked URL". Yu can provide the client with any of these 2 although I'd suggest you use the tracked URL. First, it doesn't instantly show the whole path to the image which is better for security reasons. Second, the tracked URL will let you get statistics showing how many times it was accessed.

Thank you very much! This helps a lot. Is there any way to create a URL for the folder so I can share more than one image under the Slug he wants to use?
