How to make Client Admin (but not super-user Admin)?

I am looking to basically give the client Admin privaleges, but I'm not sure what to turn off so he doesn't destroy the site by accident!

I would like them to be able to do pretty much what a regular admin can do, but they don't really need to be rooting around in the system pages too much. However, they do need some Dashboard access to be able to add users, etc.

Maybe this is a no-brainer, but I'm looking for the BEST way to do this so they can't really screw anything up here.

make an administrator group if you don't already have one.
turn on system pages in the dashboard
lock down the pages in the dashboard you dont want them to get to.
explore the permissions in Filemanager, Users, and Settings for
anything else you want to lock down.

best wishes

how exactly do you do this U suggested?

a) turn on system pages in the dashboard = means
Go to Sitemap and tick (on) the "Show System Pages"

b) lock down the pages in the dashboard you dont want them to get to = means

Click on any page and select "Set Permissions", on the top left corner select "manual", on the the top right click on the button "Add User/Group" and select the one you created erlier. Tick on the permission you want for that group to have on this page. When done click save.

a) go to your dashboard and then sitemap, on the right is an option
"Show System Pages" tick that box

b) once a is achieved a new page will appear, "Dashboard" in the sitemap
Expand the dashboard and select the pages you want the "Admin" group to be able to access/restrict access

Left click > Set permissions >
Then you have two panels "Who can view this page?" and "Who can edit this page?" put tick boxes for admin you would like to be able to access/edit, remove the tick to prevent viewing/editing.

You can also adjust some permissions in the Access tab of the "Sitemap"
/index.php/dashboard/sitemap/access/

The Access tab in the "File Manager"
/index.php/dashboard/files/access/

And the Access Tab of the "Sitewide Settings"
/index.php/dashboard/settings/set_permissions/

Please help with this problem:

I upgraded C5 and bought an additional ADD ON - 'Popup Menu' - and it's not working. Instead of ADD ON images i'm getting question marks.

Hi,

You should probably start by posting this to the support area for that
add-on. There's a "support" link on the side of the add-on page you
made the purchase from.

best wishes
