Incoming Folder

Hi All

I have a number of large files that I upload to a site via the Incoming folder as they are all a fair size (about 25Mb each).
Once they are in that folder I can then add them to the file manager and use them as normal.

My question is this, once the files are added to file manager they seem to be added into the normal file structure e.g. 7313/5834/3648, does that mean I can now remove the original file from the incoming folder? Is a copy of the file added to the file structure making the original file redundant or does the system refer back to the original location eg incoming folder?

I am just trying to free up some hard drive space if possible.

Thanks in advance of any advice.

Files should be copied from the incoming folder, so once imported you should be able to delete them from incoming. Do a test on a small file just to make sure!

Hi John

Thanks for that, I will upload a small file and see if it works OK.
I really just wanted to know what I may expect, which you answered perfectly.
