Prevent editing of a page already being edited?

[if there's a better section for this question let me know; I'll delete and re-post]

Hi, hoping to pre-empt a potential too-many-chefs issue...

1. Is it possible to prevent another user from editing a page I am working on? Obviously, we'd like to do this on a page-by-page basis.

2. The ultimate goal, once the site goes live, is to have this page-by-page editing safeguard in place for the client: They will have multiple club members updating pages, and each might be logged in at the same time ~ to pages that only club members can see...

I hope this is clear. Could someone point me to where I can learn about this? (Permissions is a huge topic...whew!)

Many thanks,
Charlie

That's the default behaviour!? There's a blue bar right underneath the toolbar which tells you if another user is editing the page..

k, thanks - can't recall seeing that. Will try it with a dev colleague in real time.

I'll look for vids on permissions and/or read the documentation (or check out your books ;-) as soon as I can find time...

Here's the codehttps://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/blob/master/web/concrete/tool...

And attached the output (in German) if someone is already editing the page.

Nice, thanks

P.S. was rooting for Roger Federer in the US Open, hoping he would make it to the final. Next time...

Ha! He won quite a few trophies, it's okay if someone else wins ;-) I hope they won't deport me now..
