Questions about license

Hi all,

First of all please let me say that concrete5 is a wonderful product, great job guys.

The question i have is regarding the MIT license, there are things that are not very clear, according to the license the software can me modified, change etc but the source files must have the concrete5 copyright information, does this mean that one can change icons, add icons (like in the dashboard) and also change the name Concrete5 to something else as long as the copyright on the source files stays intact? for example can one change the Concrete5 icon/logo on the dashboard area to something else?

Thanks for any insight, cheers all.

you can do whatever you want.
you don't have to keep it branded concrete5, you don't have to keep anything the way it is.

you don't really have to keep copyright in the code, the copyright applies to the license and just establishes that we do claim the right to apply this license to this code.

you DO have to be careful about what you claim to be official "concrete5" stuff - that's a registered trademark and the extent of our intellectual property around the core, so while we're pretty loose with it today, that may change.
