Unable to Connect to the Community

Permalink
Hi,
I am currently having issues connecting a site to the Community in order to extend Concrete5. Looks like this is across all my sites (old ones as well as new ones). For some reason, when I try to connect to the community it does not recognise my concrete5.org user id and password. This has never been a problem in the past. This has started occurring since the hosting of the sites was transferred to a different provider. Any thoughts on how to rectify the issue?
Thanks
Peter

Further to this I have discovered that for some of the older sites when I select Extend Concrete, I get a message that "The base URL of your site does not match a registered instance of the site. Please click below to authenticate your site again." If I click the link to the project page URL I can connect. If however I choose to click the "Reconnect to Community " link which is also presented, then I cannot connect. The message I get is after I attempt to sign in is "Invalid site object or Invalid site instance URL". Regardless, I am unable to connect to the community even after I re-install C5 which makes it difficult for me to continue to use C5 for new sites. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Perhaps someone from the C5 development team can help?
Thanks
Peter

Make sure you have the CURL PHP extension installed and enabled. If it is, it's likely that your webserver is timing out when looking up our hostname.
Can you ask your webhost to add a host entry for us?

```
concrete5.org: 50.28.54.170 concrete5.orghttp://www.concrete5.org community.concrete5.org
```

Thanks Jessica. Have asked my web host to look into this. Also stumbled across this discussion https://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/installation/the-base-url...
