Website Preview?

Hi guys! Quick question.
I am new to Concrete5 and do not know many technical terms. I am using it as an add-on to my website (through dreamhost).
We are trying to share my link on Facebook, and when given a preview of my website, it shows a random picture of a village and the preview says "concrete5 is the best way to host (etc, etc, etc...)".
It lets me edit this information by clicking on it on Facebook, but I would have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Is there a way to edit the information that pops up for my website? I feel like I'm missing something. I've gone through all the settings on my dashboard, etc.
Any advice will help! Thanks!

If I understand correctly what you want, that is a matter of having the proper facebook meta tags in each page you want to share.

You can use page attributes for that and modify your theme header to add the proper meta tags.

Unless you want all pages to be shared with exactly the same thumbnail and description (which is not a good idea) you will need to go through each page and select an image and write a description.

Hi,
I looked up Meta Tags and thats not it. If you are familiar with facebook, do you know how you post a URL to share it, a little preview box comes up with a thumbnail and a small description? That is what I am trying to edit. I would post a screenshot but I am on my phone right now.
Hopefully that description helps more.
Thanks for getting back to me!

If your site is version 5.6.x.x install this addon: http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/open-graph-tags-lite/...

If your site is version 5.7.x.x install this one: http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/open-graph-tags-lite1...

mnakalay is right, these addons just automate it for you.

Hi,
I downloaded the 5.6 version, and installed it. On my dashboard, I found where I can click "Open Graph Tags Settings". I clicked it, and uploaded the image that I want to be the thumbnail. I'm not sure where to go from here!
Thanks!
Frank

Now you share your page on Facebook, and it should use the description of the page you are sharing instead of 'Concrete5 is the best way to host... etc', as well as the image you uploaded instead of a village picture.

Hi,
It didn't do anything. This is what my page looks like.

Your site was already cached by Facebook, forcing it to scrape the information again shows that it is working.

You can try it yourself here, place your website URL:https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/...

Yes i am familiar with Facebook and sharing on it and it is about Meta Tags.

The add-on you were told to use does just that, it adds the proper meta tags to your page
