Add a category attribute in Concrete 5.6

Hi

I'd like to add a category block to my standard C5 blog - I already have problog in use which has this functionality but I want to use the standard blog with C5 as I can't use the same blogsearch page for this section of the site.

The user to be able to add categories by a tick box or drop down in page properties and then have them display in the sidebar as selectable links e.g

Document Library Categories
Traffic (3)
Road Safety (5)
Customer Satisfaction (5)
Surveys (6)

these in turn would go to a search page with the results on them.

I'm writing the blogs in composer so ideally the client could select from here also.

I wondered if there was a way of editing the tag block but I can't see anyone submitting any code for this. Please help someone really need to get this to work!

The way that we have done this before is to create a listing page and do all this functionality in the controller of that page type.

I believe you could also do it using this add-on in the marketplace:

Maybe, can you send a link to the page and explain what you are struggling with? If it's on the back end PM me with some login info.
