Advanced permissions doesn't take on Page Type Area

Hi!

I set advanced permission on an area to allow to add only one certain type of block on a certain Page Type. The permissions seem to be completely ignored, I am still able to add every type.

I set the Permissions using the admin account and set it so that the administrator group wouldn't have access to all blocks but no luck.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Mr L

Wherever you're adding pages, you need to make sure that page's permissions are set to allow pages added beneath it to inherit permissions from page defaults, rather than the parent page.

But if I have different "Page types" how can I inherit the permissions if there are not the same editable areas across the templates?

I just want to HIDE all blocks except the "content"-block. The client will only need to add "content". I thought you could set theses permissions in the "page type". Every page is based on different templates (page types) so I set the permission on the "page type" of all the templates.

Also, when a member is in the Administrator group it can change
the permissions themselves so I don't really see the point. Shouldn't the permission menu be hidden?

Best regards and thanks for the reply!
