I thought I read somewhere that there might be a classified block in the works - is this true?
If not, does anyone have any recommendations for this? I'm thinking it will be a very simple buy & sell type thing for a site I have coming up. Could possibly use Vanilla forum or similar, but where I'm planning on using C5 for the rest of the site, I'm not sure about integration.

the forum is supposedly in the works to be released but it could take a while the forum is made specifically by the c5 team for c5.
yeah - shockingly the forums really are coming together. A very nice client offered to pay us to package it up for them, and we should have something available for everyone in the marketplace soon. I know I've been saying that for a year on forums - call it our white whale - regardless.. We're actually doing it.
Classifieds - yeah we've got a craigslist type thing in the works if thats what you're talking about.

The project I'm looking at putting together will include a few things like the Ad block, possibly Ecommerce, and maybe one or two other addons - but one thing we really need is a buy & sell thing where people can post ads for free (it's a community type site).
So, yes, the Craigslist type thing is what I meant. I've used forums in the past for this purpose as well, but a dedicated Kijiji or Craigslist type thing would be the bees knees.

No, not banner ads, I mean classifieds. Like in your newspaper. Like Kijiji or Craigslist. I want people to be able to post ads for stuff they're selling, places for rent, cars for sale, etc. in the simplest way possible. With pictures they can upload. We're not going to charge them money for this, it's a free service.

Any idea when something like this can be added? I am looking for something like this, and hoping to do it easier than with forums.
Having nothing to delete the posts that are expired will be a big problem.

Has there been any movement on this add-on? Posts are old, but I'm looking for this functionality.
Is there any news about a classified ads ad-on? I'm also looking for something like this. Prefferably integrated in the ecommerce ad-on so that people can pay for placing the ad.

I see no response and it's now 2014 and I'm not finding the add-on in the producsts list. Any news on this...did it ever happen??
