Clean URL Alternative to .htaccess and php.ini

I have a client who is using Yahoo! for hosting their site. I installed Concrete, and then I came to find out that Yahoo doesn't allow .htaccess or configuration of php.ini files. What alternatives do I have (if any) for creating and supporting clean URLs?

The only thing you can do is use another hosting account that is not with Yahoo! - there have been many forum posts for this on other CMSs.

Does look like they are changing their minds anytime soon.

Yahoo Hosting == crap

if they are paying for hosting they they should have access to the .htaccess file
