Convert a Joomla Site to Concrete5?

Is there a way to convert an existing Joomla site to Concrete5? I have been asked to convert a site that has about 80 to 100 pages from Joomla to Concrete5 and haven't been able to find an easy way to migrate the database over. I don't care all that much about the theme as it will be changing, but the information on the pages is important.

It seems for now, you may need to convert Joomla to Wordpress and then convert Wordpress to C5.

See this thread for more info- http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/installation/joomla/#2140...

I saw that thread and was hoping that in the 9 months since that was written somebody has come up with a better solution.

For me I just copy and paste content over.

Pain?

Maybe, but it helps with housekeeping and reminds people to update old S***.

I was hoping to avoid doing that, but it looks like that's going to be the easiest thing to do. A lot of the meta data and page descriptions all wrong with the existing site anyhow - so no matter what I am going to be redoing all of that by hand so it looks like hand copying-and-pasting is the way to go and then updating as I create each new page.

A pain? Yes, it will be painful - but at least there is an end in sight...it's only about 100 pages.

Thanks!

Yeah, but it's only content

Major stuff can stay the same, header and footer...

... Apart from, as you say, description and keywords.

Nice fresh install, no client rubbish to sift through.

Ahh, Bliss...
