How to detect Retina Displays in Concrete5.8 ?

Two weeks no reply, I'm wondering if anyone had the same problem, or is the Retina Display isn't supported in Concrete 5.8 ?
Cannot really help you, but my experience is, that the whole filemanager and image resizing process is beyond f**** in concrete5. It's an incredible mess. And as time goes by it seems to get worse, not better.
So much, that I've implemented for certain modules a separate file upload, storage, resize and display for images. I really hope they work on a slick and easy solution soon.
