Form Entry CSV Export Useless?

I can export as a CSV; however it gives me a file with no extension. I have given this file .txt and .csv extensions to try and import to excel and myself and our companies data guys can't figure out how to import it into any sort of format that is useful.

The legacy forms did this perfectly.

Hi ScottsdaleUnified,

I can confirm this using version 8.2.1 of concrete5.

The filename of the exported file is "csv" and does not have a file extension. If you rename it and add the .csv file extension it should be readable by Excel.

Do you know the settings you used to import into excel. Everything I have tried does not create a file that can be read properly.

Thanks!

When you give the file a file name and file extension of .csv, it should be available for Excel to open without any special settings.

If you open the file in a text editor, you will see that it contains CSV formatted content.

It didn't work last week, but now it works perfectly. Confused, but happy, thanks!
